Yuri Firmeza através de seus vídeos, performances e fotografias pressiona os limites entre a ficção, o possível e o real. De maneira crítica e irônica, o artista ocupa espaços inabitáveis, cria imagens insólitas, forja relações precárias e assim questiona as relações de poder no circuito de arte e na sociedade contemporânea. Realizou exposições em diversas cidades do Brasil e do exterior, entre as quais a 31ª Bienal de São Paulo; 14th Biennale Jogja: Stage of Hopelessness – Yogyakarta/Indonesia; 21st Videoex – International Experimental Film & Video Festival Zurich/ Switzerland; 64th e 62nd International Short Film Festival Oberhausen/Germany, 33º Panorama da Arte Brasileira, MAM-SP, 11ª Bienal do Mercosul, Porto Alegre/RS e a exposição individual Turvações Estratigráficas, no Museu de Arte do Rio (MAR).

Yuri Firmeza through his videos, performances and photographs presses the limits between fiction, the possible and the real. In a critical and ironic way, the artist occupies uninhabitable spaces, creates unusual images, forges precarious relationships and thus questions the power relations in the art circuit and in contemporary society.
