Teta Lírica é uma performance e peça sonora criada por Marie Carangi em 2016, que envolve a relação de atrito entre o corpo e o instrumento musical theremin. O canto é proferido pelo balançar das tetas que penetram o campo sonoro-sensível do instrumento. O theremin possui uma antena que emite um campo vibracional no ar, onde as notas musicais se distribuem reagindo às vibrações emitidas no corpo. O grau de aproximação entre tetas e antena, associado à velocidade de movimento, gera uma variação de notas e tons que vai de picos de agudo ao super grave.

A performance UN de Bella trabalha o vibrar das águas refletido por uma luz. A luz desenha contornos imago-sonoros, criando uma pintura viva formada por som, água e luz. Interface entre ciência e arte, entre registros da realidade (o som, a imagem, a matéria), jogos de linguagem com o cinema primordial.

As artistas apresentaram as respectivas performances ao vivo e de maneira continuada, gravada ao vivo e diretamente em fita K-7 por Hugo Frasa, dentro da exposição Contato Transitório, com curadoria de Marcio Harum e Julia Morelli. De maneira complementar, as performances saltaram aos nossos ouvidos e a vibração da prática laboral de ambas, alusões de sentido de alguma forma se complementaram, sobrepostas em sonoridade e sororidade.

Marie Carangi

Marie Carangi, 1989, nasceu em Recife-PE, Brasil — onde vive e trabalha. 
Graduada em Arquitetura e Urbanismo na UFPE, trabalha com performance, vídeo e instalação. Inicia o trabalho de performance-serviço — Peluqueria Carangi— no Lesbian Bar” do artista Fernando Peres, no mesmo momento que libera seu cabelo crespo do alisamento. Em Peluqueria Carangi”, as relações entre corpo, espaço, estruturas e auto-imagem que atravessam o corte de cabelo viram trabalho de conclusão do curso de Arquitetura e Urbanismo. Esse laboratório se desdobra em outros gestos nas performances Corte estilo guilhotina “e GRITOFONIA. Em pesquisas mais recentes, como a performance-show T”eta Lírica, outras camadas de textura são misturadas em movimento, corpo e som.

Bella

 Bella é brasileira, nascida no Rio de Janeiro, vive em São Paulo.
artista sonora e musicista que trabalha frequentemente com interdisciplinaridades e colaborações. Seu trabalho consiste em apagar as fronteiras entre som e espaço a partir de uma performance voltada para os movimentos imperceptíveis da realidade. Bella desenvolve projetos, performance e gravações explorando a relação entre aspectos físicos e conceituais da matéria/som. Lançou três albuns pelo selo Seminal Records. Também é parte do coletivo meteoro, formado por ela, Anais-karenin e Juliana Borzino e alimenta o Arco Fluxo, projeto com Sanannda Acácia.

Bella esteve recentemente, agora em Novembro de 2017 no Ende Tymes Festival 8888, New York, solo – “UN”

Também esteve no  Casa da Ribeira (Viseu, POR), Acker Stadt Palast (Berlim, DE), Festival Música Estranha (BR), FIME (BR), Festival Novas Frequências (BR), Acéfalo Festival (Valparaiso, CL), Lo Spazio (Poschiavo, SWZ), etc.

Teta Lirica is a performance and sound piece created by Marie Carangi in 2016, which involves the friction in the relationship between the body and the theremin musical instrument. The sound is uttered by the swaying of her breasts, penetrating the sound-sensitive field of the instrument. The theremin has an antenna that emits a vibrational field in the air, where the musical notes distribute reacting to the vibrations emitted in the body. The degree of approximation between the teats and the antenna, associated with the speed of movement, generates a variation of notes and tones that go from sharp peaks to super grave.

Bella's UN performance works though the vibration of the waters reflected by a light. The light draws imago-sonorous contours, creating a living painting formed by sound, water and light. Interface between science and art, between registers of reality (sound, image, matter), language games with primordial cinema.

The artists present their respective performances live and on a continuous basis, recorded live and directly on K- 7 tape by Hugo Frasa, within the exhibition "Contato Transitório" curated by Marcio Harum and Julia Morelli. In a complementary manner, the performances stimulate the auditory sense while and the vibration of the work practice of both, allusions of sense somehow complement each other, superimposed on sonority and sorority.

Marie Carangi

Marie Carangi, 1989, was born in Recife, Brazil, where she lives and works. The artist graduated in Architecture and Urbanism at UFPE, and works with performance, video and installation. She started her performance-service work - Peluqueria Carangi- at “Lesbian Bar" by artist Fernando Peres, at the same time she releases her curly hair from the constraints of straightening. In Peluqueria Carangi, the relationship between body, space, structures and self-image that cross the haircut become work of conclusion of the course of Architecture and Urbanism. This laboratory unfolds in other gestures in the performances “Corte estilo guilhotina” and GRITOFONIA. In more recent research, such as the performance-show “Teta Lírica”, other layers of texture are mixed in movement, body and sound.

Bella

 Bella is Brazilian, born in Rio de Janeiro, lives in São Paulo. She is a sound artist and musician who often works with interdisciplinarities and collaborations. Her consists in erasing the boundaries between sound and space through performance focused on the imperceptible movements of reality. Bella develops projects, performances and recordings exploring the relationship between physical and conceptual aspects of matter / sound. She released three albums through the label Seminal Records. Bella is also part of the meteoro collective, formed by her, Anais-karenin and Juliana Borzino and feeds the Arco Fluxo, project with Sanannda Acácia.
