Mariana de Matos é artista visual e poeta. Graduou-se em Artes Visuais na Escola Guignard/UEMG (2009) e pesquisa a contribuição da poesia negra para a decolonialidade, no mestrado em Teoria Literária (2020, UFPE). Exercita o tensionamento entre versão oficial da história e contra-narrativas polifônicas; hegemonia, relações de poder e novos contornos para antigas estruturas. Investiga representação, delírio da modernidade, invenção da diferença, subjetividade, narrativa de si e ferida colonial. Atua em linguagens híbridas, se interessa pela emoção como sistema de fruição do mundo e se dedica à fusão entre os campos da imagem e da palavra. Articula trabalhos em pintura, costura, interferências em madeira, poesia expandida, arte relacional, instalações, intervenções poéticas urbanas, auto-publicação, ações performáticas e fotografia. Fundou o selo de poesia expandida Bendito Ofício (2010) e a organização MUNA (mulheres negras nas artes, 2017). Atualmente desenvolve o projeto AS poetas do pajeú, no sertão de Pernambuco. 

Mariana de Matos is a visual artist and poet. She graduated in Visual Arts at Escola Guignard / UEMG (2009) and researches the contribution of black poetry to decoloniality, in his master's in Literary Theory (2020, UFPE). Exercises the tension between the official version of the story and polyphonic counter-narratives; hegemony, power relations and new outlines for old structures. It investigates representation, delirium of modernity, invention of difference, subjectivity, self-narrative and colonial wound. It operates in hybrid languages, is interested in emotion as a system for the enjoyment of the world and is dedicated to the fusion between the fields of image and word. Articulates works in painting, sewing, wood interferences, expanded poetry, relational art, installations, urban poetic interventions, self-publishing, performance actions and photography. He founded the expanded poetry label Bendito Ofício (2010) and the organization MUNA (black women in the arts, 2017). He currently develops the project AS poetas do pajeú, in the hinterland of Pernambuco.
