Esse nome não era meu. Esse corpo eu conquistei.
Nascida em Manaus, filha de um casal de pastores missionários, ainda pequena seguiu em missões, para o interior do Amazonas com sua família. Desde cedo cantava na igreja e ajudava na organização do teatro e outras expressões que cabiam no culto evangélico pentencostal. No retorno a Manaus, durante a adolescência, teve seu primeiro contato comum grupo de teatro amador, na qual semeou a sede de conhecer mais sobre performance. A vida clandestina a trouxe até a maior capital do país, e, no meio de uma transição e da necessidade de ser ouvida, nasce a Manauara Clandestina, como uma performer da noite. Hoje ainda performa, tendo expandido suas linguagens para além desse formato, desenvolvendo de maneira transversal seu trabalho como artista. Atualmente, além de sua pesquisa individual, se dedica à direção de criação de projetos junto à estilista Vicenta Perrotta, evocando diálogos que traçam novas perspectivas de vida travesti e questionando as condições das existências que as permeiam.

Born in Manaus, the daughter of a couple of missionary pastors, she still went on missions to the interior of the Amazon with her family. From an early age, she sang in the church and helped with the organization of the theater and other expressions that fit the Pentecostal evangelical cult. On her return to Manaus, during her adolescence, she had her first contact with an amateur theater group, in which she disired to learn more about performance. Clandestine life brought her to the biggest capital of the country, and, in the middle of a transition and the need to be heard, Manauara Clandestina was born, as a performer of the night. Today she still performs, having expanded her languages beyond that format, developing her work as an artist in a transversal way. Currently, in addition to her individual research, she is dedicated to the direction of creating projects with the stylist Vicenta Perrotta, evoking dialogues that outline new perspectives on transvestite life and questioning the conditions of existences that permeate them.
